Highlights Of 1699 Vaisakhi

  In the history of the Humankind, a religious leader always remained leader and disciples as disciples, but Guru Gobind Singh Ji raised his disciples to his own level. Such democracy in the religion is unique & unmatched. Guru Ji bowed to his own disciples (Five Beloved Ones) and requested them to bless him with Amrit. Guru Gobind Rai became Guru Gobind Singh. Guru Ji proved that there was no difference between the Khalsa and the Guru. He raised his disciples to the same level as him in the same way as previous Gurus chose their disciples to be their successors.

  Down trodden & demoralised persons living like slaves who had lost all sense of human dignity were transformed into gallant Saint-Soldier after being initiated with Amrit. A true example of treating the human race as creation of One Waheguru.

  The great Guru did not claim any glory for creation of the Khalsa rather proclaimed, "Khalsa was God's army and God had created the Khalsa at his own Will". This classic example sends us all the message to stop being egoistic for the worldly illusive fame. Guru Ji's words were :

"Khalsa Akal-Purakh Ki Fauj, Pragtiyo Khalsa Purmatam Ki Mauj"
